(More customer reviews)I replaced an old folding saw ( the wood handle one from Sear, circa 1992 ) and I will say it is night and day comparison between the 2.Given the age of the saw being replaced, I never recall the old saw working this well.The old saw had some use on it, on par with I would say used 5 times per year ( don't have a lot of call for the hand saw ).I get more use out of my fiskars pruner / pole saw that I bought in 2000 ( Fiskars 9240 Telescoping Pruning Stik.
The coarse blade goes right through root balls in no time flat from 10 YO bushes.I have yet to try the fine blade.
The blade release feels like it is not tight ( due to a very easy open movement ) but the blade does not move at all when being "leaned" on.This weekend I finished cleaning up some bush removal, and cleaning the root balls down to a size that would make them easy to handle was quite quick work.I also cleaned up some roots, and this saw went right through them.
